Back to Vancouver we go - Monday 13th Tuesday 14th

Up and out of the room at Whistler and on to the first Gondola up the mountain at 10am - Cate absolutely chucked a fit about going on it and luckily Billie had hold of her so she couldnt to anything BUT get on.  Once we got there, she was okay about it so we did the Whistler main lift and the Peak TO Peak Gondola - mum and Bill did an extra chairlift but the walk was too long and uphill for most of us to bother!  Saw heaps of bike riders going down the runs - BMX riders dressed up the hilt with Helmets and shin pads etc and they ride down the ski runs and they have heaps of jumps built in so that they can do all their tricks.  Really adrenalin pumping stuff to watch - can only imagine what it is like to do.

After that we jumped in the car and made the trip back to Vancouver which goes through really pretty country again - different this time as you go very closely past lots of water and mountains but not as high and not covered in snow.

Checked into the Sheraton and we have a fabulous room - a big room with two queen beds and living space and another seperate room with a king bed.  Beautiful hotel and three seperate towers so it is huge with a great big courtyard, an indoor pool, gym (although I doubt it will be used) and heaps of other facilities.  Starbucks on every corner and that is no joke in this town - they are everywhere!

Tuesday saw us with brekky in Mums really snazzy room then bus, sea bus, and bus to Grouse Mountain.  We took the Skyride to the top which is a huge gondola where we saw Grizzly bears, the Lumberjack show, Chairlift to the peak, two films on the area and the birds of prey show then back to the hotel via the same route.  Beautiful day for it - sun shining and really pretty place.

Some shopping done and then made home made spaghetti (a first) in the room then folding the T-Shirts for the conference then off to bed.  Bill helped Adam with the conference set up and they went to dinner with Dad - all in bed by 10pm - A FIRST!
