Since we were invited to the retired partners meeting in Las Vegas, courtesy of Deloitte, we decided to take advantage of the three nights at the Mandalay Bay.  Great hotel.  We arrived around 3 on Sunday and by 4 we had our floats and were floating down the lazy river pool.  Lovely dinner last night.  I met Valerie for breakfast this morning.  Good to catch up.  We bailed on the first day of meetings and drove to the Hoover Dam.  Very impressive.  Walked over the dam, saw the new bridge theyre building to bypass the dam.  We decided against the tours and headed into Boulder City to find our first Diner, Drive-In and Dives experience.  We had lunch in The Coffee Cup.  Very quaint little place, great sandwiches.  Stopped at Starbucks in Boulder City and headed back to the hotel for a second trip down the lazy river.  Dinner tonight was on Deloitte again.  Huge room filled with food stations, sushi, salads, roasts, all kind of good things.  Dessert stations had shot glasses filled with tiramisu and other wonderful treats.  Oh, did I mention we gambled a bit.....not much to report on there.
