La Giralda Tower
From La Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain on Jan 11 '03
We met another family traveling through Spain with a daughter Sarah's age! They live in California and are originally from Hungary. We had a great two days with them. Here we are in front of the Giralda tower. The tower is part of the famous cathedral of Sevilla. The builders claimed that they built it so big in order that people would see it and think they were crazy to build it so big.
The trees in the background are orange trees which were loaded with oranges. We saw dumpsters filled to the brim with oranges that are only good for making marmalade since they are bitter oranges. They were spectacular to see lining all the streets. The streets of Granada were also lined with orange trees and yesterday as we left, they were covered in snow.
