Berlin HQ

Berlin was HQ for the trip.  We lived in the southwest, near Mexicoplatz, which allowed just enough time to finish a bottle of wine on the train when commuting downtown to the clubs.  The Frei Universitaet was also nearby.  Berlin is a charming and original city - WWII and Cold War history with amazing nightlife, arts scene, and museum offerings.  I loved every second of it, and every site I visited.  Highlights included Potsdammer Platz, Brandenburger Tor, Unter den Linden, Neue National Gallerie, Altes Museum, Berliner Dom, Reichstag, Alexanderplatz, and our flats.  Oh, and Eurocup soccer.  But my alltime favorite thing to do: catch the Ubahn or Sbahn to ANY stop and enjoy a Doner.
