mangos has visited no places in Paris

Checking into Paris first - our lodgings were decent. Loud as hell, with the window open, but decent with it closed. We stayed near the centre of the city. Needless to say, we were excited to get our bags off our backs and run into the city..

First thing we did was a walk around for a while - jetting through the outside of the Louvre, spotting la Tour Eiffel (at night), Musee d'Orsay, the Champs d'Elysees and the Arc du Trimph at sunset. Wicked entry into the city... Soooooo many people. My lord..

Oh and then we got lost after a cab dropped us off to where I asked - which was the wrong street name. We made it eventually though.

The next day - Tried to get into the Louvre, but it was closed on Tuesday. So we walked by Orsay. Ya right. Packed with toursits that were rejected by the Louvre. So we just ended up walking some more into the Latin Quarter, bought some sandwiches and ate in the park, then hung out in the Jardins du Luxembourg to some orchestra. Great day. Tiring but good.

Our last day in Paris before we left for Lyon we got up early early to try and catch the line into one of the two major musees. We made it into the Musee d'Orsay!! We were pretty happy about it. It's a beautiful place, it truly is. I have the photos to prove it. Tons of impressionist and post-impressionist work. Beautiful to visit. After that - on to the train station to get to Lyon...
