No work in Barcelona again! I was told that Barcelona would be the coldest place among all ports of calls we stop by during the cruise. But in fact, it was not as cold as Derry's September. Fortunately, we had a lovely sunny day in Barcelona!
The ship docked at the port of Bercelona, and we took a bus from the port to the city centre. Some of CCs and I spent a good few hours looking at the guidebook and a map of Barcelona yesterday to make the perfect plan. Since we only had a day in Barcelona, we thought we could not waste even for a minute! Thanks to the very organised CCs, we made a perfect plan to see all tourist sights in Barcelona.
How long does it take till 'La Sagrada Familia' is finally completed?

What's more, we decided to do a role play while we were sightseeing in Barcelona -- one of us pretended as a tour leader (who deals with time schedule), one of us pretended as a CC (interpreter), one of us pretended as a 'good' passenger and the other pretended as a 'bad' passenger who complained about everything lol. Indeed, I came across a few 'bad passengers' so far when I was working. They were very scary. It seemed like they enjoyed complaining about nothing!
Anyways, Barcelona has a lot of unique buildings designed by Gaudi, a genius Spanish architect. The most famous one would be 'La Sagrada Familia', which is still incompleted and has been underconstruction for 100 years! Gual park also has monuments, buildings and house designed by Gaudi. You can see the beautiful view of the city from the park too.

We had Paella (yellow coloured rice with seafood) for lunch, one of the most popular Spanish dishes. It was different from Paella I had at the restaurant in the Spanish themed amusement park in Japan, and the rice was not cooked well, but we believed that Barcelona's Paella was the 'genuine' one!
I did not forget to go to Hard Rock Cafe to get a pin to add to my collection! So far, I got a pin from Hard Rock Cafe Athens. My colleagues knew I was collecting pins from HRC, and they bought one for me -- it was a great surprise. I would not realise that I even told them about my pin collection (but I guess I spoke it loud lol).

We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant right in front of 'La Sagrada Familia', which was beautifully illuminated. I hope to see the building again when it is completed the structure in the future.
