august 3rd: we rode rental bikes all over berlin today. our hostel is up in the prenzlauer berg area so we started there and went down to alexanderplatz then through to unter den linden to tiergarten. from tiergarten, we rode to zoologischer garten. we had a picnic lunch, gathering bread, cheese, sausage, and blackberries at a farmer's market! :) chaffee lit a leaf on fire... and then we rode up to potsdamer platz. there were cool HUGE see-saws we played on. then we headed to checkpoint charlie and somehow ended back in the hostel.

we might hit berlin's oldest biergarten tonight... we shall see. ;)

I like the names of these places: Alexander Plaza, Pot Plaza, woohoo! I wanna hear more about the Beer Garden... what's that? The garden where the beer trees grow?
