Budapest

While Krakow was about relaxing and enjoying some good food and beer, our focus in Budapest was definitely on sightseeing!  One day in Budapest is just ridiculous - we knew this from the start, but Mom didnćt have that much time to travel so I tried to squeeze in a few varied destinations.  Getting there and getting away was pretty much awful (more on this later), but the day we spent touring around was great.  We visited Statue Park (where all the statues from the Communist area ended up, collected together in a surreal way right outside the city), the House of Terror (museum dedicated to the Nazi and Communist eras, housed in the old headquarters of the secret police).
