Good to be home.. nearly...

Brisbird has visited no places in Sydney

Well, made it back to Sydney. The flight from Bangkok was ok - but as expected I didn't get much sleep. I did avail myself of a very nice evening meal once we got on our way, and unfortunately had to pass on dessert as I just couldn't fit it in.

On waking we were only offered a continental breakfast which was a bit disappointing. We made our way to the duty free shop to purchase the requisite grog to take home, with me even finding a small 200ml Kahlua to make the most of the 2.25ltr per person limit.

Where are our bags???

Upon arriving at the baggage claim, we waited, and waited, and waited for our luggage to come through. Nearly half an hour passed and we started to get worried that we were going to miss the connecting flight home to Brisbane. I think our bags were nearly the last one's out. We found that our bags had not been given the requisit priority tag on check-in in Edinburgh - doh!

Lugging the bags, we made our way to the domestic transfer desk and were happy to re-check our bags back on the conveyor belt, by-way of a lovely qantas steward who attached those precious pink priority tage. We had 25 mins till our flight - "plenty of time" she said.

After a brief wait in the bus transfer lounge, we were on our way across to the domestic terminal, via the bowels and backyards of Sydney airport, past massive jumbo's being re-fitted or serviced. We got to our gate as it opened for boarding, no time damn-it to buy any Krispy Kreme's to bring home.

This is our last time-zone change flight (thank heavens!) - curse that daylight saving. I can nearly feel my bed at home waiting for me!!
