Guinea-Bissau Vacations
The diminutive western African country of Guinea-Bissau is one of the smallest in continental Africa. Formerly a colony of Portugal, Guinea-Bissau has a beautiful Atlantic Ocean coastline and is known for its musical heritage. Music from this nation is usually associated with the polyrhythmic gumbe genre, the country’s primary musical export, a type of music that fuses about ten of the country’s folk music traditions.
